The extraordinary IT security congress with top-class international speakers took place for the 21st time.
IT-Defense is an interesting mix of specialist presentations with a focus on content. At the same time, high-quality evening events guarantee an exchange with speakers and other participants. Small groups can discuss their own problems and in-depth questions. On the occasion of these round tables, Prof. Dr. Dirk Labudde gave a lecture on the topic of “AI and cybercrime”:
Possibilities of intelligent systems permeate our everyday lives. We encounter applications of artificial intelligence in every area of our lives. The phenomenon of cybercrime is not excluded from this. Criminals use such applications to commit new types of “old” crimes. The grandchild trick is becoming increasingly technical and uses many AI components: voicebots, deepfake, ChatGPT, etc. Dirk Labudde used various examples to explain to the audience how intelligent systems affect crime and therefore the role of victims and perpetrators.
