In a criminal case of attempted murder, the FoSIL team was tasked with reconstructing the course of events. They created a 3D model of the events using files and data from drones and scanners. The aim was to clarify details such as the angle and distance of the shot, the positions of those involved and traces of blood.

During the main hearing, various scenarios were examined and depicted in the 3D model. This helped to assess the plausibility of the course of events and enabled a better presentation of evidence.

The work underlines the growing importance of computer-aided analyses in the investigation of criminal offenses.
